I have some gouldian finches. one's neck is stretched out and his head straight out. any ideas?

he is eating and flying and seems o.k. other than the stretched out neck. I thought maybe impacted crop? But I have no idea what an impacted crop on a tiny bird would feel like. I caught him and lightly maged the crop area but really, I have no idea.
