Gsx-r1000 or sv1000s for a beginner or ?

i went to suzuki dealership in kuwait to buy my first bike and it was empty the only bikes they had are gsx-r1000 and sv1000s. i was planing to buy a sv650s but they said it will cost me twice as much to order it than to buy an sv1000s. the gsx-r1000 is about 15k and the sv1000s is about 12k. i was tempted to go for the gsx-r1000 but i thought about it and decided to go with the sv1000s since its a twin and just take it easy, i mean real easy. i didnt buy it yet just wana see what you guys got to say before i buy it. dont tell me to wait cause it wont do any good thats whats on display if u want another bike they have to ship it and i dont have the money to do so.
