How to handle very religious friends?

I've heard of people being like this. Just like in Britain I'm sure there are people known as religious fanatics...those who can't accept any other religion and those who are intolerant to anything that could challenge their religion. I'm sure the person was just offended by Bruno and didn't really have a sense of humor because they were probably super conservative. I wouldn't put this person into a category with "american christians" because there are christians who are American and are very tolerant of other religions and don't act this way. I'm sure this woman was just a little bit of a fanatic and even though it would be nice to tell her to get a sense of humor, I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate it as she seems very stubborn.
