How can I do my hair like this (google image link included)?

To avoid damage and smooth down the cuticle I use a leave on serum after I wash it. Blow out just the bangs, let it dry and throw in some large hot rollers. I don't have time to blow dry and it comes out really good. Also a smoothing serum before the rollers works good. Brush it through and set. Voila, it comes out fab.
