Do bank accounts in foreign countries count towards your SSI resources?

I am currently a 20 year old SSI recipient living in the U.S. I am both a citizen of the U.S. and Colombia (a country in South America) and someday I will like to be able to live comfortably in Colombia. If I open a bank account in Colombia, it will be possible for me to make monthly deposits to it from the U.S. However, my only source of income is the SSI. Will I be able to deposit part of the SSI into the Colombian bank account? And will it count towards my monthly resource limit of $2,000?
