Please help me translate this crochet instruction?

Its very simple .. do one dc in 3 stitches in your next row ... then in the next stitch do 2 dc chain 2 and do 2 more dc in the same stitch. then when you see the * you do what is inbetween that 2 more times ... at the end I beleive you should have a diamond looking square.
